Les Cygnes - perfect for a family holiday
Three luxurious gîtes sleeping four, six or eight people in the heart of the Poitou-Charentes region of France, they can be booked as individual self-catering holiday homes or taken together for up to 24 people (using occasional beds) for a larger group or family. Great for family reunions, parties, wedding accommodation, or groups of friends and family. A discount is available.
Les Cygnes is great for children, as we can give you a safe and entertaining holiday away from the madding crowds. The gîtes are situated in the Deux-Sèvres department on the west coast of France, and are easy travelling distance from Limoges, Poitiers and La Rochelle. This picturesque region averages 2,250 hours of sunshine per year, making it the second sunniest region in France and, therefore ideal for visiting from early spring to late autumn. We also have availability during the winter months for long-term rentals - perfect for house hunters. 
As well as luxury accommodation, you can also expect a beautiful 10 x 5 metre salt water terraced pool with sun-loungers, parasols and cabana. The gites are set in five acres of gardens and pasture with views of a beautiful village and 15th century castle. All the gîtes are fully equipped games room with professional table tennis table, table football, darts board, pool table and numerous board games.
Environmentally friendly
At Les Cygnes we try our best to help the environment. The properties are all insulated to higher than recommended levels which ensures heat retention during winter months (reducing the need for heating) and a cooler environment during summer months (reducing the need for air conditioning).
We recycle, of course, buy food from local sources when possible and use biological or natural cleaning products where possible. We also compost all waste and collect rainwater. Our pool is saltwater to minimise the use of harsh chemicals. We have planted more than 250 shrubs and give guests the option to offset their carbon footprints to donate trees (usually two trees at €10 per tree) that will over time absorb carbon dioxide emissions. We will only plant trees indigenous to our area, such as chestnut, oak, lime etc.
