In need of some inspiration on what to see and do? Then you're in the right place. We've roamed the region to compile this list of 25 things to do that will keep everyone entertained for hours. Whether you want time by the beach, along the coast, in the countryside or town, animal fun or historic monuments, walking, cycling or taking to the water, there's something for everyone. Now you've just got to find the time to fit them all in!
We've split the list into three:
The Charente: the area that includes Cognac, travelling east to Angoulême, La Rochefoucauld and south to Aubeterre-sur-Dronne
The Charente-Maritime: the Atlantic coast that includes la Rochelle and island, Royan and then inland to Saintes.
The Deux-Sèvres & Vienne: The area around Poitiers, the Marais Poitevin to Parthenay and south to the area around Civray
